Worthington
Built upon a steadfast New England blueprint
This pioneer Shangri-La feels like it should still echo
With the hum of streetcars
Or the creak of stagecoach wheels
Endless occasions call residents to the Village Green
Where signs implore residents and passers-through to contemplate character traits like “moral courage” and “tolerance”
Under the hard stares of stately old churches
Keep walking north
And the building facades fade back from the street
Into antiseptic structures best viewed from car windows
Until the sidewalk ends
